The terms that apply when you use the GetWill platform.

1. About us
The GetWill platform ("GetWill", "we", "us") is operated by DESCENTEK FZ LLC, a free zone company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates under license number 47012866, with registered office at Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, AL Hamra Industrial Zone FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
2. Nature of the service
GetWill is a private digital platform that helps users prepare a Will draft and provides general guidance on the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) registration pathway. GetWill is not a government entity, law firm, or court, and does not provide legal representation.
3. Not legal advice
Information on the platform is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax or financial advice. For complex estate planning, cross border assets or contested matters, you should seek independent professional advice.
4. Fees
- GetWill drafting service fee: AED 550.
- ADJD regular Will registration government fee: AED 950 (payable to the authority).
- Total expected cost: AED 1,500.
Government fees are set by the relevant authority and may change without notice. We are not responsible for changes to government fees, processes or requirements.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old, of sound mind and legally capable of making a Will under applicable UAE law. By using GetWill you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
6. User responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current and complete information.
- Keep your account credentials secure.
- Review your Will draft carefully before registration.
- Comply with all applicable laws and authority requirements.
7. Registration with authorities
Final registration of a Will is subject to the requirements, decisions and processes of the relevant authority (such as ADJD). GetWill does not guarantee acceptance, registration timelines or any specific outcome.
8. Refunds
Drafting service fees become non-refundable once the draft has been generated and made available to you. Government fees paid directly to authorities are governed by those authorities' refund policies.
9. Intellectual property
All content, branding, software and templates on the platform are owned by DESCENTEK FZ LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the platform for personal Will preparation purposes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform is limited to the drafting service fees you paid to GetWill in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, or for losses caused by inaccurate information you provide or by acts of authorities.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the platform where we reasonably suspect breach of these Terms, fraud, or risk to our systems or other users.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the RAKEZ free zone. The competent UAE courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
